NOD32 - its just there on the system tray quietly working perfectly. doesn't eats too much ram. doesn't pop up everytime it updates.
Thank you guys! But I decidted already and i'm using Norton 360 now, aim very satisfied with it. Thank you all!
Free and paid versions are just the same when it comes to virus check, difference is that paid version include anti-spyware and anti-malware. Until version 7.50 those features were not included into the free version, but version 8 was just release and it comes with the anti-spyware for free too. Even though I just switched to ThreatFire after having a few problems with AVG throughout past week. I installed either free versions 7.50 and 8 which provide you automatically with a license number, but after a few reboots my computer was popping messages asking me to introduce the license number which I don't have since it was provided by the software and no idea to jot it down. ThreatFire seems to be doing its job and found two threats that AVG didn't after scanning my oldest archives. BTW, first thing that I do after purchasing se a PC or laptop is getting rid of Norton Antivirus (usually included as addon) because I feel it causes system hogs no matter how much memory or fast processor your machine has.
Err, Adium on the PC and Clam XAV on the Mac (don't want to pass anything on to the rest of the network)
I've been using NOD32 for the past three years. I also use it on all the systems I build. Works great for me. 7th Angel
I use Nod32, i used to use Norton, it was quite good at detecting but not good at doing anything about it. Its like having a butler at your front door telling you the burglars are here then politely stepping aside to let them in.
I had to downgrade my newly bought computer with Vista due to I found it is designed to makeup its own faults, hence Windows Defender defends Vista against you so you never realize the real problems behind its beauty face. A few days back I tried what I should call a joker anti virus, it's name is Comodo and it is one of the most incómodo anti virus software I have ever tried. Cómodo in Spanish means comfortable, and due to software is popping up for no reason and hard to setup it results really uncomfortable (incómodo in Spanish), LOL
My best 3 choicesd 1.NOD32 2.Mcafee 3.Norton Antivirus first choice is the one i'm using right now another 2 choices also good but I got some problem while installing. Using it and got no problem with viruses, trojans so far.
