Hello everyone I have been a member for a while now but never posted before. First time for everything.

I have a website that I have been working on for a while now but I don't have a clue on how to market it.

    Here is the link: http://www.dirtpilegames.com

I have submitted it to the social bookmarking sites, but nothing came of it. Also did the link exchange, directories, toplink site, and made some custom games. So if you have any suggestion I would like to hear it.

There are many things you can work on to get more traffic to your site, as you have already mentioned, Social Bookmarking sites such as Digg,Stumble etc are good. Also being active in forums and having a signature linking back to your site can help to bring in some targeted traffic. You could also consider submitting to Directories although IMO this is unlikely to bring you much traffic. You could also consider a paid option such as Google adwords to get visitors, although again I feel this is often like throwing money away.

Have a good look through this forum, there is lots of information to help you on your way,.

Another idea is posting articles to ezines. Just do a search on google to find them. Twitter is also good for getting people to go to your site, just don't spam. If you say interesting stuff, comment to people, and help people if you can, they will visit your site.

It depends on your budget. You can do articles as suggested earlier but that takes some time (plus you have to write the articles). You can use adwords as well (also suggested). For this site I would have to agree with justingh. Use some forums that concentrate on games (where the gamers are) and offer them some benifit to using your site that others dont. Remember not to jump right into your website on the forum or they will kick you out. I would set up a quick blog, feed some youtube videos into it about gaming and post to digg, propeller, etc. Also use something like pingoat.com to get your blog out there. I set up a blog about guitars fed some videos into it, put a link on blogger back to it (google owns blogger) and had 100 people a day going to my blog within a couple of weeks. I havent touched the blog in months and still get a couple of dollars a day from it. Hope this helps.
