Hey everyone, first off I am new at this. I started doing IM as an affiliate 3 weeks ago after I lost my job. I currently started a new job but I still want to be financially independant so I can go back to school and do what I want with my life and live my dreams. I signed up with Average joe income package cause I read a lot of reviews on it and it seemed pretty honest. Which it was, but pretty much the package told me to sign up with click bank, use bum marketing techniques and keywords. It also told me to use other things like websites, articles, ebay, etc. It was a decent newbie package to get me started. So for the last 3 weeks I have set up over 15 articles and blogs. I started them on usfreeads and then copied and pasted most of my articles to other sites like wordpress, blogger, squidoo. I used the techniques, Im getting traffic, mild traffic, and clicks, but no sales. I tried to use adwords but realized what a newb I am and canceled what I had going on that so I wouldnt lose money. I put up adsense ads on my blogger pages, nothing...made nothing. Not a single sale, I've try to advertise things from run your car on water, lose weight, how to make money, how to fix your xbox 360, so I tried almost every category picking things that had medium gravity. Still nothing....I am getting so stressed cause I am running out of money with all the bills to pay. I want to have my financial freedom! I would be more then happy with $200 a day and if I got more then that I'd crap myself and enjoy the rest of my life. I just found out that using affiliate links on wordpress is a no no...I found out when I started reading these forums so I have to fix that. But for now here is a link to my articles to give you an idea. Now remember these articles are also on blogger, squidoo, and usfreeads. So considering that its spread out I should be getting somewhere but I am not... I would thank anyone and owe them if I could get help. I need to get this ball rolling and I am not stupid. I dont want anyone selling me "tips" I just want advice, steer me in the right direction and I will figure out the rest. If you tell me advice worth gold and I hit the jack pot, then I will be thankful and probably send you a reward through paypal after my first $100 dollar sale. I am serious, I want to be financially independant. And for those who are, please help me, I have alot to offer this world, but I cant if I am working as a waiter and kissing peoples buttocks to get paid. Yea, working in restaurants for 10 years and being 24 yrs old wanting to go back to school...I feel I am stuck unless I have money to proceed with my dreams. I know some of you been in my same situation as well.

How much are you making at your present job? You see with IM you might need to be a bit patient as you would not discover everything within a day. Information would slowly come to you and with time you would start getting used to it. Read through these forums as there is a lot of information which would be more than useful for you. And as a side note- You don't need money to proceed with your dreams all you need is to urge and hunger to succeed. Mark my words- "Empty pockets don't hold people back it's empty minds which really makes the difference". Forget the failures you had in the past and just concentrate on the present.
Yeah get rid of that trash in your head that tells you that you will fail. It has no purpose. We would fail at everything if we thought this way for our entire life.
2 quick tips... For starters you will want to place unique ads/articles on each site/directory that you use - particulalry the title. This will help you get more staturation in the search engines. I might also suggest focusing on 2 products and pushing them on every available front. Make websites/blogs that focus only on one product. This will make sure your visitors are targetted. Stay away from promoting "making money online" products as it will be hard for you to communicate with the reader since you haven't made any $$ yourself. I know that the Xbox and Car on Water products are selling for sure...perhaps stick with only them for now. Think to yourself...what would the average buyer of these products want to hear?
well my current job i just started so they are training me, but I could make $100 a day or more. But, its a strict place and if I make one mistake I could be fired on the spot. I dont want to work in places like that, fear of losing my job, and its hard to pursue my dreams with over $1300 of bills a month that require me to work a full time job. I really want to go back to school, heck I want to go to a film school which is like $20,000 tuition per semester but I cant afford it. Im sure I could achieve my dreams without cash, but for now it seems I need cash to get the ball rolling. I got like $2680 dollars left in my account, after tomorrow when rent is due and the bills, I will have a little under $1500 and dropping. It is very stressful but I appreciate your words of wisdom everybody, I really do. Makes me think about other things I should be thinking of.
Stress only sucks the energy out of you and would make you find excuses not to do a certain thing. You are in a perfect position right now to astound yourself. There have been several people out there who were in more worse conditions than you are in right now but ended up with millions of dollars in their back accounts. Take inspiration from them and see how they did it. Remember- When all doors close a "SECRET" door automatically opens. You just need to find your secret door.
I guess that every one would be happy to make $ 200 a day and let me tell you that is not something impossible but you have to know with CB , it's all about testing which products or niches that work for you . Keep in mind that some of them will give you money and some of them will not . I will help you with what I know. Tell me what blogs are you posting? Let us take a look, I can tell you if your articles sell or not. Read them from a regular user perspective. All products you tried are all like scams and high in competition (run on water, lose weight free car etc), I know most of them and spent some $$$$ on them through adwords, and I gave up weeks ago....
First, let me tell you that you need to have patience with this. I started slow (meaning small ad budget) and test, test, test. Now I have over $1000 days. (not every day, but very almost never a zero day). Recently I thought I had three zero revenue days, only to find out the problem was on my end all along. This is why you need to test on smaller budgets, see how it performs, then go for growing things. Don't throw twenty products at a dart board just hoping for the best. Second, I'm sorry to not give you a specific answer, but asking what products and how to market them will probably not give you very many specific answers. This is because people who might have been successful with a product in the past, have moved on because they're not seeing results anymore...hence those products won't help you. Any current products that are working for them, they won't want to divulge because they won't want the competition. There is nothing wrong with what you are doing - aiming for medium gravity, etc. But make sure you also look at if the product is at medium gravity because it's on the way up, not on the way down. On the way down, a lot of people might have already sold it. The cbtrends link can help you. Still, that's not full proof. A product might have a relaunch or site redesign...tons of reasons could cause it to go down and back up again. Also, diversify yourself to other products than clickbank, like commission junction. Products at CJ usually don't pay as much commission (10%) or something like that, but there are thousands of products, and I have found a lot of products that have very few or literally no one using PPC for them. They have newly listed companies and products all the time, and some of those are for really popular products that are underexposed. On your bum marketing (blogs, etc)., I don't concentrate so much on these, but that's only because I feel the same way as you- I want results NOW. But you have to have patience on the bum marketing...you need to post 2-3 articles on one or two products every day for a month. That's a lot of articles...and it's boring as heck...but Google will start to notice and you will start to get sales. Even posting to forums with links back to your blogs or whatever, can make a difference. It just takes time to do it this way, which is why I do about 20% bum marketing and 80% pay per click. Just have patience with the testing - if you keep going you will find some products that work for you, and you can fund some more testing, and it goes on and on. Just watch your budgets so you don't have a day where you wake up and you spent $100 the night before on ads with no results. (Yes, it has happened to me!!) Photo writter is right. You need to have mutiple income producing products and companies. Sign up with some sites like comssion junction and test wich products do well on each site.
I sold "run your car on water" and sold 3 so far with just blogs!! I know it doesnt sound like much but I have 10 other products I sell that make sales every two weeks or so except for one that sells everyday!!
IM is not a get rich quick scheme. Even people behind "get rich quick" schemes don't get rich quick. I've tried doing multiple things in my life and found that there are no easy ways. Everything takes a mix of hard work, smarts and luck. But keep trying and success will come. This is a good primer on PPC but I wouldn't recommend it to you right now. You can easily loose a lot of money on PPC before you start turning profit. But you can go that way later.
Hey everyone, I appreciate your advice and words of wisdom. But, I wanna be more specific here without revealing true techniques. Just be general with me and I will find the solution. Now, the question is PPC means price per click right? Yes, I have used adwords, and spend 12 dollars one day realizing "Hey I am getting no results" and canceled it out before I got my wallet burned out. Ok, so the next question is..."If you have something set up with Adwords using PCC, do you set up the link to your ARTICLE or to the actual hoplink itself?" Meaning do you save yourself a step and skip sending the clicker to your article and just have them go to the hoplink....OR....do you have them click being sent to your ARTICLE?. The thing is this, alot of research, first I have to find a good product thats not dropping and that is rising. 2nd, I have to determine if this product is good enough for bum marketing or should it need the assist of adwords? Also, does anyone make money with adsense? And if so with what sites? Cause I am getting nothing using adsense on blogger. I am using paydotcom but have not signed up with CJ. I plan on getting involved with CJ eventually when I have the time. And it seems I am spending more time doing research on techniques and reading forums rather then spending time putting up articles. WHY? Cause I hate to waste my time using the same techniques I am using and getting no results. You figure, use the same technique, it doesnt work, so use it more often again and again would you think that would get you results? Not in my mind it wont. I need a different technique. Now I heard of a guy who makes over $40,000 a month by using the following Adsense, Kontera, Text link ads, Burst media, Casale media, Abrite, CJ, and CB and yea I wrote that list down of course but who knows on his method, or how he calliberates these programs/sites together. All I know is those are the pieces and I need to find out the links to those pieces. I dont even know what half those sites are except adsense, CJ and CB. So theres alot of research at hand but I dont want useless research. I want research that counts. Results that count. Who has their own website? Did you pay alot of money for it? Or was it free and you had to build it on your own? See, I hesitate to build a website cause I dont know where to start. So I use articles and blogs, cause they are FREE. What should I budget on adwords? .50 per click, or .08 per click or 1.00 per click? Mind you, I am a newbie so the budget is TIGHT. So many questions in my post sorry. But heck, if someone can PM me or post here, so do it, if your not greedy and give advice that wont affect your income, then help a stranger out, karma will reward you in the long run.
Can I offer up some advice before you burn another wallet out on adwords! Try a cheaper ad network you may get less traffic but it will allow you to experiment at a cheaper costs then move up to adwords. I found a link to a free ebook that I actually paid for a few years back and it helped me a lot. 12 dollars is close to nothing when you are starting with PPC. You'll need to spend 3-4x product selling price to find out if your keywords are working. So we are looking at 50/day for several days. That's why I don't recommend it if you are short on cash. reapr is actually right about other ad networks. You can give Microsoft adCenter a try. IMHO it's undervalued right now. Yahoo is decent too. Look for free coupons for these networks most can be used only when you sign up so make sure to use them. As for AdSense. I would imagine that any website with decent traffic (at least hundreds UVs a day) makes some coin on AdSense. One example is in my signature. Currently it's not making much but it's something and it's only costing me monthly hosting fees to keep it running... Long hours that I put into designing it can be considered free Building your own website is a good idea if you know how are you going to drive traffic to it, what this traffic is going to be and how are you going to monetize it. Keep in mind that results will take time as it takes a while to build healthy backlinks, for these backlinks to be indexed and for your site to get out of the sandbox. SEO is a whole another area as big as IM and you should be ready to invest a lot of time in learning if you want to succeed. Yep, there are people making five digits+ per month. But to begin with I'd set my goals a bit lower. Because goals should be realistic. I don't think it's possible to make five digits per month without quitting your day job or ruining your health which is priceless. Once again - good luck.
I was recently in your shoes and am now doign ok. This is what i did. 1. Write a review on a product you want to promote and post it to ezine articles etc. 2. create a professional looking website, or get someone to do this for you and set it up in a review style manner. 3. fill your site with revies of products linking to the vendor with affiliate links that are cloaked so it doesnt seem obvious. Hopefully that will get you on your way, but obviously there is a lot more to it than that which im sure people will tell you. here is a site that does what i was talkign about, try and learn from it.
