What am I doing wrong? (Need Suggestions)

After making a lot of changes, and following advice of some others here, I added a Directory as suggested, and now have no one signing up at the site?

I see a lot of advertising for PR this and that, but when you actually check the page there is no page rank as stated. Is Page Rank what the PR is supposed to mean? and is their stating a higher PR why people sign up?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Well when I first looked at the site I saw no sign-up button and had to search for it! Make a bigger button on your front page for people to sign up with. That will help.

Are you getting much traffic? You needs lots of traffic for people to sign up.

 

Being that the Log-in uses the SMF/Mambo Bridge log-in, I am not sure that I have a way to change the size of it, though I could make a link to it on a button. Thanks, good suggestion!!!
I got quite a bit of traffic when I advertised it in the Directory area here, and offered without any reciprocal link, but even though it received the traffic, no one signed up or added to the Directory. I could be wrong, but I believe that with the directory giving an actual page to every listing, that the link would have much more weight with search engines.

my first reaction is that I am not a big fan of all the different colored text. I personally dont think that blue text should be used for anything that is not clickable. Also too much text in general, I dont know where to start reading.

I guess the colored text is a matter of preference, when I don't have it, people say looks too bland and needs color lol.

Cutoff the bold. The whole text's bolded. My first impression was it hurted my eyes. Plus, make a header more professional. Website should have neutral colours. Black, white, green, dark yellow, blue, etc...
