    No one knows me from Adam on this site, so I'll let it all hang out.

    I have one web forum that has received 250,000 visits in the last 30 days with 700,000 pageviews - I earn upwards of $5,000 per month with Google ads + Kontera. But I've never been able to make a dent in that with affiliate sales, last time I tried it was like $75/month.

    Can someone help me see the light on how I can earn some coin doing this? Automotive sites are my thing.

    If your earning that amount from Adsense then stick with it in my opinion, i have a forum with more traffic and pageviews which is lucky to hit £200 a month from adsense, Forums are terrible for monetising especially in certain niches. I would like to know your URL however so i can compare your adsense positions.

    Very simple Google and Kontera are taking your traffic and clicks from CJ. Stay with the affiliate that makes you more. In your case I would open a blog, or website with a small amount of money and I wouldn't place other ads than CJ to see how it is going. Only this will work for you to see how.

    Adsense+Kontera is eating up your traffic. my advice is to stay with affiliates that earn you more money.

    look CPC of car related topics are very high. its hard to optimize a forum because most of the visitors are the experts at that field so there is no way to bluff them by ad placement other techniques. and in case of sell i can say that there must be a problem with the selection of your product. select niche products. i know that car related products are of very high price. an commission is also very very high. you said that you got 75$/ per month. i am sure that you are not using the related products. cause in this topic you should get 75 or more $$$ per sell. remember it per SELL! so monetize your products at first.

    your traffic isn't targeted enough. give that some thought...
