    Hello!

I heard a lot about alexa site rank. I know the reality that alexa rank is only calculated for the people who used Alexa toolbar and opens a site then this will gain some points of rank in alexa site rank.

I cant understand if this is all about alexa site ranks then what is the benefit of it ?

Alexa rank is a good estimation of how much traffic you get versus other websites (competition).

It's a good comparison tool that is available to everyone. Anyone can check Alexa, but nobody can check your Webalizer/Google webmaster stats. So Alexa is good to use to see how much traffic you get and how much others get.

It's an estimate, of course, but a good tool to use.

Alexa rank hold little value now. It used to hold quite a lot and give valuble information to search engines and a lot of rankings would be highly influenced by Alexa. This then got abused by poeple buying traffic and its value got dropped.

Different people will give you different answers though. Some people seem to be obssessed by it and others, like myself think little of it. It can be impressive to see on a blog that someone has a high Alexa rank - it means that the site itself is getting a lot of traffic. Knowing how to utilize that traffic however is another story.

If you have a competitive niche however, it might benefit you. If you have some high powered blogs in your niche this could open doors to guest blogging which opens further doors to things link link and traffic exchange.

I think it is best to experiment and make your own judgement about Alexa. It can be too easily manipulated to be of any worth, for me personally.

Alexa does nothing, except a few buyers consider alexa rank as a factor when you sell your site.

In some ways, Alexa does have its use. You can check on your main competitors' ranking and top keyword queries among other stats. These may come useful in your SEO endeavor.

Alexa is just a traffic estimate, and it's not a very correct estimate. I've had sites go up and down by over 200k in rank, while in reality they were receiving pretty much the same amount of traffic.

Could you tell me about this Google tool. Don't tell me that it's Google Analytics, because only the owner can see the analytic.

In my opinion, Alexa it's the best traffic estimate tool.

Alexa rank is an outer idea of the traffic coming to your website.
It creates good image between the masses and search engines.

I use Google Analytics to keep track of my own sites' progress. I use alexa (sometimes) to check on other sites e.g. search keywords, among other free data.

Alexa is used by scam artist site flippers who cheat the system in order to gain a good alexa, hit bots, traffic exchanges... ie. cheat the system to look good and stooge the buyer.

Basically, having a low Alexa ranking, means that you have a popular website and you can increase your sales having a popular website that can be compared with its competitors.
