Quality writing depends on few factors - Your writing skills, concentration, relaxed working environment, dedication and fresh mood.

Writing skills - The skills depend upon strong English vocabulary, correct grammar, creativity, elaborating power, knowledge of article writing and research on the subject.

Concentration - A writer needs a very high order concentration to write good articles. The ideas and creativity come out in a flow when you concentrate and write. Any disturbances may distract you and affect your writing.

Relaxed Working Environment – You can write better in a relaxed atmosphere because free mind is a must for a quality and beautiful writing.

Dedication – If you are not dedicated to your work, you cannot produce a good article. If you wish your writings touch the feelings of people, and for a wider audience, you must surrender wholeheartedly to writing. Your sacrifice will be soon observed on your articles, and you will be surprised to find the improvements.

Fresh Mood – How is your mood? This factor has a great role to play in your writing. If your spirit is high and you are in a fresh mood, your writing also follows your mind. If I am not wrong, many writers must have found writing before noon give better result than writing after lunch hours because in the morning people are fresher and write better and smoothly, but after lunch time, they feel dull, drowsy and tired, and find more difficulty in concentrating and generating ideas. When you are feeling down, the quality of your article also starts depleting.

I can agree with all that you wrote. I would also add PRAISE & COMPENSATION. Both are powerful motivators and no doubt would affect your good writing.

You writing, at least in this post is not bad, but I would suggest that you capitalize the word "I" when writing it. You used it three times in that one sentence and two of them you did not capitalize it. That kind of thing jumps out at people and takes away from what you have written. I hope you don't take this post the wrong way. I am trying to be helpful.

This part is not for you, but the title of this thread is wrong and makes me cringe.

"What Affect Your Good Writing?" needs to be "What Affects Your Good Writing?" or "What Things Affect Your Good Writing?"

I certainly appreciate members agreeing with my views and their openness pointing out any mistakes. Knowing your own mistakes surely help you improve, but I think except grammatical errors, people have their own way of expressing, and I think any word or sentence that can express your feelings, and if people understand them then it must be agreeable.
    Thanks all the same.

I am not sure what you are saying. Are you suggesting that because we understood and knew what you meant to say, that the way you titled this thread is "agreeable" and is a good way to write?

No, I meant what you said about my "Affect" and your pointing out the right word "Affects" is correct and I appreciate your correction. I may have slipped there, but I think "what things affect" and "what affects", both as per my view are correct, and conveyed the title message I wanted to convey to others. I might be wrong there also and sure welcome your suggestions.

Writers are paid for their abilities and talents, *NOT* for their mistakes. While not perfect myself I tend to have a zero tolerance policy in others if I'm paying them.

I think mood has a lot to do with writing. If you do not feel like it, then words won't flow as easily. Good research/knowledge also plays a part. If you have made good research or already know what you're writing about, then you'll find it easier to write.

    Have a good day!

I think that having knowledge of your field has an obvious effect on your writing style and skill, but with that should be a passion for what you write about. I write for a gay news site and some of what I do is about same-sex marriage and other 'political' stuff. This makes writing easier for me as I feel passionate about the equality issues that go with the subject. I do find I need to be careful not to 'rant' though. :)
