Hi guys, I'm trying the link pyramid strategy, so I have build about 50 backlinks from web 2.0 websites. Now; Are these backlinks good as a first tier ? You can find the backlinks in the uploaded file. Notice that I'm trying to rank for this keyword "washable spray paint", and my rankings have changed from the fourth page to the top of the second page on google after making these links. Please explain your answers in details and don't be easy on me.
if you'll pass this coming penguin everything will be fine. usually blog 2.0 websites are considered spam. you just created a post there to place a link then you leave it alone. it is not a regular updated blog and google will notice this. another mistake: you used keywords on back links. why to add a keyword in a spray paint blog post? don;t you think google will know that the website is about spray paint? it is like you 'force the google hands" overoptimizing your website. ..but it is just my opinion.
I'm trying to make link pyramid and this is what most people do, they make free web2.0 like weebly, blogger... and then build backlinks to these free websites without updating it "but I guess its a bit old right now". Now I'm confused! should I complete the link pyramid or should I move on to another link building strategy ? and whats the best one ?
This strategy works, but I would definitely keep this quality of web 2.0 on my tier 2. For Tier 1, I use manually created Web 2.0s: High DA sites like Wordpress, Webs, Weebly, etc for Brandable announcement blog pages. For example, "The Official Wordpress Page for Blah.com - Subscribe for promotions, deals and more" Monetizable, moderated sites like Whizely, Seekyt, Sirgo Suggestions (when applicable): Multiple Pages Unique theme Unique profile information Handwritten content Links to authority sites For Tier 2, I'll use lower quality web 2.0s with: Spun content Tool generated (I prefer FCS Networker) Links to authority sites I run about 40 money sites and have a test suite of 10 sites strictly for testing purposes. Sites that use my configuration always outperform the sites where I link the lower-quality web 2.0's directly to my money site. Inserting a high-quality buffer is more work, but yields a much better result. Also, you can make a decent chunk of money by ranking those monetizable web 2.0s as well. Hope this helps, Diggity
Thank you guys. Thank DiggitySEO. This is exactly what I needed to know, so this type of quality is good as a second tier.
