What are: .net .org .tv .info etc. worth these days if they have a very good and famous domain name ?
.net - DEFINETELY .org - pretty good .info - hmm... it works, but it's not too great .tv - nothing interested, unless you're doing someth for tv
.net is really the best when compared with those you listed but i like .tv if you have a good name that FITS the extension it is one of the best ccTLD to have and develop a site... .tv was re-branded as television and there are many sites with this extension... so if you have a geo name or another that is good with the extension it really worth it
From what ive read here and on other forums, the standard next most important seems usually to be .net, but then others would put a .de or .co.uk straight after that. Some people wont entertain a .info at all, while others think their ok and should be in the top 4 or 5. It seems a personal preference and depending on your location too.
I think .info will outdo .net & .org in the future, the problem with .net is that many people look for the .com on return visits, .orgs are really more suited to non profit organizations.
