Hi, just wondering if anybody else got dropped out rankings for long tail keywords these days. Matt Cutts himself confirmed this new Google algorithm change:

I'd be glad to know if you faced any problems.

I very happy to say that all my sites are ranking very well indeed, most of my high ranking search terms are only 2-3 key phrases.

    Thanks Brian

May day updated affects long tail queries only. Matt said that Google will now trust the overall site authority when figuring out rankings for long tail queries.

Thanks. It's kind of frustrating knowing finding out this new algo change is permanent! I find myself in a weird situation: 1 week ago Google liked my site and it ranked it pretty well, now Google doesn't like it that much.

No wonder my articles in Triond get indexed almost immediately upon publication. I notice the visitors come from search engines using long tailed kewords within 24 hours of publication
