Do links within a flash file to another (non-flash) site mather? E.g, when you create a flash game, with a link to your site included in the game, and you submit it to other games sites, does this helps something for seo? Thanks, Raf
It doesn't help SEO, it does help traffic. Well, it could indirectly affect SEO if the traffic it sends end up creating a backlink.
You mean when they put a link like "Created by: (your site)" ? So google doesnt index these flash links?
Correct. The Google spider can't decompile a flash file. It can only read code viewable in a text-based web browser.
how about the site has a flash? does spiders can read it even if the html codes only? or flash associated with html?
According to this search Google can index flash files - http://www.google.com/search?q=filetype:swf. But I wouldn't count on them counting the links.
Spiders cannot decode flash, just have a look here for how a spiders see your page http://dlperry.com/what_search_engine_spiders_see.html i had a better tool link but lost it some where.
text in a flash file cannot be spidered ... so it doesnt help SEO .. but if you submit your software to various software directories .. most will give you your own page with a link back to your site ... so this will help!
http://www.google.com/search?q=filetype:swf The text in those flash files was successfully indexed, I just doubt that the links would be.
