Hello at rathost.net we are thinking about starting new "free hosting". We won't display any ads ... we will just advertise our paid hosting there. (for users who will need to upgrade). Ok few questions - What is best control panel for free webhosting ... if am right cPanel doesn't allow free hosting ? - We will be providing "basic" 24/7 LIVE support ... do you think costumers will abuse that ? ( like opening chat for every tiny problem ? ). Also what bandwidth&disk limits should we use, to make sure a lot of costumers upgrade to paid hosting(yeah I said it ) Thanks for help, moneydude.
Folow 000webhosting.com . They have been giving out free hositing for years now and it really is the best out of the free webhost providers
You asked, "What is best control panel for free webhosting ... if am right cPanel doesn't allow free hosting?" I think cpanel does allow free hosting as x10Hosting and 000webhosting both have cPanel. Another control panel option for free hosting would be www.layeredpanel.com. Best of luck btw
If you are starting a free host, I have some suggestions. I use a webhost that is free, and they use a combination of Vista Panel and a free open source ftp. You could go a step further and provide "live support' free of charge if you use crafty syntax. it is open source and you can get it from Sourceforge. I would not get too wrapped up in support on a free host, as that is a natural upgrade you should take advantage of.
Free Hosting... I love www.000webhost.com. I have 3 website and I buy the domain from Go Daddy, then i combine 2 of them. Hosting from 000webhost and Domain from Go Daddy!
That's true, but chances are they are an already-established company who can afford to offer free services at thier expense... Even then you'll find less options than a regular hosting service.
I gueass I was too discreet, you hit it on target. these were the guys I was talking about. I use them too. Perfect for a one man show, free hosting and a couple of domain email addresses to boot. Simple sweet, and free. They really are the model to follow IMO, and the do not hide how its done, most of their set up is off the shelf.
