What about buying links ?

    Have you ever bought backlinks for your site? I want to spend some cash on SEO on my site, any suggest ?
    Do you know some quality companies for this?

    It depends on what you're wanting to acheive I think. Buying links does still work, but it is a relatively risky strategy if the site you're building (a) relies 100% on natural search traffic and (b) is your entire source of income. If you do buy links then make sure you compliment it with other link building strategies to distribute your link patterns, and buy links in multiple ways (link networks, person-to-person buys, buying expired domains etc).

    Buying links might be a good option and can work "only" when you keep it within limit and are not going for bulk paid links?

    Few things to check while buying links:
    1. Check whether the site/sites you are buying links from; are listed in Google or are banned?
    2. Check their reputation/ranking on SERPs (if they can bring you any goodwill or good traffic)
    3. Buying links is not a good option if you are buying from low PageRank and/or irrelevant sites.
    4. Buying links from SPAMMY sites (with lots of outbound links in a single page) is also not of any use. (e.g. link farms and etc.)

    Everything depends on the relevancy of links you are going to buy. For example, I own a few trusted casino-related websites. If you promote poker website, It will be very useful to have the text link on some of my websites.
