I hear quite often that directories are useless to submit to because "some" of them aren't indexed in Google, and your page can take forever to be discovered naturally. What if we added a link in the footer of all our internal website pages that linked to a "directory" page? Most people already do so for a sitemap, which is simply links to all internal pages. Why not create a page for all external pages? Linking directly to your page on these directories would mean a faster index pace in Google for the new sites, and it would also mean your site's page is always indexed for all sites you submit to. Thoughts?
You can check out the quality of web directory by researching the Google bots crawl rate. if Google crawl more often your site, it's definitely a good signal. for example, cache:[url]http://www.directorypond.com[/url] Code (markup): actually if you use phpld, they have the function to generate sitemap automatically by single one click. if you have new submission, simply generate a new sitemap at the admin dashboard.
If directories have been spammed too much, then they won't worth to take a look. there are many good directories to submit.
there are many quality directories look for them. It usually takes 2 days to alink to be indexed by google on www.directory4u.org
And if link indexed so what? What PR you get from it? If you link all your pages to that website with your link, you will send your PR juice to that page, but nothing backwards. Who is winner - that website, who is loosing - YOU.
