come there is always that guy from work/school etc stalking the girlfriend

he pretends he is just friend, till you get in that one fight, or go away for awhile then he's on her like white on rice

 

I can't know anything for certain, Daniel -- remember, you're talking to the cynical skeptic here But I have faith that you aren't a jerk.

 

Not that I think (some) women truely want this at one point, I believe many men are under a false sense that this is a guarantee of anything. In fact it guarantees nothing. No insult to your well-intented views, but I believe some women (often many)...respond more to superficial things, rather than concrete values. Sort of them like how a guy will hit on the girl with the nice ass, rather than the rather real good person she is. Each sex has their 'second brain' (so to speak), and often it makes less than 'good' decesions.

In this world I don't expect anyone to be ideally-minded. They live according to their standards (no matter how screwy they may seem). Actually I tend to think everyone is a bit screwy, and I am fairly accepting. *shrug*

This sort of issue will always be of interest, and really no one will give anyone a puzzle-solving answer. A nice guy will think it's right, and feel dicked everytime a girl sleep with the guy on the basketball team; while the average normal guy,...well, he knows you have to appeal to the woman's values as an individual, and that may not involve such a simply solution. The normal guy has a better life, imo.

Anyways...I consider this topic a bit too much...

I guess there are lots of guys (and plenty of women too, I'm sure) who are perfectly fine w/ the "meaningless sex" thing. Of course, those are probably the real golddiggers and such too, so they all deserve each other... leave the best for the rest of us.

Don't the words "Empty" and "hollow" sort of contradict the whole satisfaction thing? Satisfaction implies contentedness. Empty and hollow don't really fit that theme, Ferret.

 

It's also one of the things you'll regret later if you meet someone you truly care about and they won't touch you with a 10 foot pole b/c you've been such a whore in the past.

 

I agree there IS always that guy however, I said I am NOT that guy and never have been

Also if you are secure in your relationship and the love the two of you share and trust each other and are both loyal then that guy will NEVER be able to get close.

If you're only single to have meaningless sex, you may want to reevaluate your life... I'm just saying, sex is so much better when shared between two people who care deeply for one another.

But if your refering to my comments, I'm just implying that the intial values of a man/woman aren't always 'ideal' to the peson they're trying to attract.

 

First of all, it was a general comment, and not specifically directed to him. But considering his attitude towards women, relationships, and sex just in this discussion, I'd guess it's a pretty fair assessment even on a personal level.

 

You must be really young or something. It's not about past "girlfriends" and real relationships. Those shouldn't be held against you. But cheap meaningless sex is a completely different story, and speaks to your character.
