He guys. Just visit this website. http://www.gucci.com What a graphics.I cant believe that how its show this data. And it is originally design by WollZelle. Just visit this site.
Not really a big fan personally. Super slow, de-maximized and re-sized my browser window (Not a big fan of that), completely unusable if you don't have javascript enabled, way too many effects, have to scroll horizontally if you look at product categories, navigation is broken if you need to go back, not really a big fan of the graphics or layout. The site breaks just about every usability guideline ever tested. I guess you can get away with it when you sell $2000 purses. Anyway, sorry for the negativity, this site just doesn't do it for me.
Most "Ajax", Flash and such are just fancy ways to slow down site performance but looks good. If you are using FireFox you are missing another "cosmetic effects" such as page transitions and filters that only work with IE.
Prime example of a brand As such the site can be slow as molasses, because people will wait patiently for it to load. However they will not wait for slow sites they have never heard of......
The site seems really nice but it's slow in processing but really a nice look with use of nice colour combinations and a great look and effects
I wasn't overly impressed with the graphics either. Maybe I missed a lot of them due to using Firefox, and the rest because I'm too impatient to wait for them to load. But honestly, a brand like Gucci ought to be able to do better than that.
For all of the negative posters You are biased as you are all webmasters most likely, elsewise why are you here? As such you are then not the target audience. Do any of you own a real Gucci? Would you want to??? You dont have to answer those lol.... As a consolation, I have noticed large corporations waste lots of money on poor products, services and do not seem to care. I think this is a classic example of "they just don't care"
As fashionable types, they're probably allergic to geekery of any kind, and think that W3C is some kind of disease. You're right, we're not the target audience. But I always thought that the prestige of a designer label was based on things like good workmanship and attention to detail (how naive am I?). You would hope they don't take the same kind of attitude to the way they make their bags.
So what makes their bags any better than a bag available at a Target KMart Harrods store??? Sewing machines they own are better than the others?? The sewers paid more, The thread is made differently?? No... its more some extra stitching.. which any manufacture could do. Materials used & their cost, and "branding" that makes their products expensive. They dont even try to put a halt to knock offs of their brand due to them being out of tocuh or "just dont care" Lastly they are fashion designers who are visual inclined...it matters not the mechanics of how things operate but that they look damn good is what is important. A dress will do nothing but fall to the ground without a support system.....it has no mechanics.....something obviously the fashion set does not understand
Yes u r right. Its AjaX. To show better quality pics here, most load is transfer to the server side.Otherwise all images are reloaded onClick Or Refresh page. IN other tech. HQ image may take time for loading. So they are using AjaX. Its all due to JavaScript.JavaScript is God for AjaX..........
