Hello Digital Point Users , I've been quite busy lately and haven't been into the General section since past 1 year but today harmoniusdesign has forced me to let you all know something . I've been scammed recently , not a big amount but its not really about money . Its about being CHEATED . Josh Stevens(harmoniusdesign) has been providing psd -> xhtml & css service since quite a long time on Digital Point and so I hired him in October to code 3 HTML Pages and 1 Wordpress theme for $80 ($40 being for wordpress theme) . Later, Josh couldn't code my wordpress theme and he asked me to look for another coder and get it done from him and So I did the same . Josh said that he will return my money soon($40) . I did not irritate Josh by sending PM's everyday because he asked me to give him some time to return my money and I was in no hurry . I PM'd him after every 10 days asking about the money and he kept on saying that he'd pay me soon . So , after around 15-20 days I PM'd him yesterday asking for my money with no intention to wait and the following is the exact reply I got from Josh Josh is still providing his poor services to DP Members and earning a few bucks every week from his threads and still he does not care to pay back my money . His Latest thread says that he is looking a designer and is ready to pay $100 for the work to be done . Now , am I supposed to just leave my hard earned money ? He does not care if he gets a -ve feedback , does he care about this community and the users? His iTrader shows that he recently got a -ve feedback from another member . I would like know from you people what should be done against him and such people ? What if you were cheated the same way ? I can't just LET IT GO!!
we couldn't do anything more than a negative iTrader review and stop hiring him.... But Scammers to DP makes it something bad to users... newbies might hesitate to use DP without fear in investing money or work.
Hmmm even i m in need of money so much urgently... and I can use photoshop to create designs for people...still i m not going to offer my services...because i know tht my designs will not be soo good and the money which i'll earn thru them will abuse inner of mine!.... I wonder how people live happily by cheating others!
You cannot do much,you will meet these kind of members everywhere...just add a -ve itrader and move on.
