    I received this:

    Dear Friend,
I am Mr. Wang Qin, Bank Manager of Tokyo Mitsubishi ufj Bank, Tokyo
Branch.I would respectfully request that you keep the contents of this
mail confidential and respect the integrity of the information you come
    by
as a result of this mail. I contacted you independently of my
    investigation
and no one is informed of this communication.
Sometime in 1999, a certain consultant/contractor Mr. Glen Hatleberg
made a numbered time (Fixed) Deposit for twelve calendar months, valued
at large amount (Amount withheld for known reasons) in my branch.
Upon maturity, I sent a routine notification to his forwarding address
in America but got no reply. After a month, we sent a reminder and
    finally
we discovered from his contract employers, the Japanese Solid Minerals
Corporation that Mr. Glen Hatleberg died alongside his wife, from an
    airplane
    crash.
Further proof of the death of Mr. Glen Hatleberg is in the following
    web pages
for you to make confirmations and further research about his death:

If you are familiar with private banking affairs, those who patronize
our services usually prefer anonymity, but also some levels of
detachment from conventional processes. In his bio-data form, he listed
    no next
    of kin.
In the field of private banking, opening an account with us means no
    one will know of its existence, accounts are rarely held under a name;
depositors use numbers and codes to make the accounts anonymous. This
bank also gives the choice to depositors of having their mail sent to
them or held at the bank itself, ensuring that there are no traces of
    the
account. Private banking clients apart from not nominating any next of
    kin also usually in most cases leave WILLS in our care, in this case;
Mr. Glen Hatleberg died intestate.According to the Laws of my
environment, at the expiration of 7(seven) years, the money will revert
    to the
ownership of the Japanese Government if nobody applies to claim the
funds.Consequently, what I propose is that I will like you as a
    foreigner to
stand in as the next of kin to Mr. Glen Hatleberg so that the fruits of
this old man's labour will not get into the hands of some corrupt
government officials. On receipt of your positive response, I shall !
forward you the modalities of the transfer of the funds to you. I
guarantee that this will be executed under a legitimate arrangement
    that
will protect you from any breach of the law, when we succeed in getting
this funds to your account, the money will be shared on a 50/50
    basis.If
you are interested in this business Do reply this mail by sending me a
mail with your direct contact telephone and fax numbers, full names and
    contact address via email:
    I await your response
    Mr. Wang Qin

This friend of mine, who has made me his friend asked me to research about the death of the person. I searched in Google and found out this link:

    http://worldwidespam.info/email-scams/2005-09-17-glenn-hatleberg

It is such a sad and dishonorable thing that these people are using the names of dead people in scams. Let us do him a favor, bombard his email with spam mails. What do you say?

According to these lovely people, theres about $30 billion dollars waiting for me, 12 diamond mines, 2 gold shipments, and a partridge in a pear tree. I politely told them to give it all away to charity if God had blessed me with so much to spare.

i've known people who have taken those emails seriously.
its quite funny to see them get all excited over it too.

i've even know people who have been scammed by it as well.
the people who think those things up have way too much time on there hands

P.S. sometimes I do like to reply to these with a crazy code, something like

    g.s73568.02.029 fbi//report#/487233.034

just to make them sweat a little
