What a Joke....

    I'm not whole heartily an expert on cybersquatting or trademark infringement... but come on https://flippa.com/3050652-one-of-the-coolest-and-famous-org-s-around-13-300-000-google-searches

    I'm going to try not to use the domain here...if you do a trademark search, there's 3 active. One is owned by Sonny Moore aka Skrillex (f' it). I mean if that didn't dead lock it enough. The other 2 are for all music related memorabilia (t shirts, posters, etc) and music recordings, distributions, etc.

    If you check the whois on the ".com" it's owned by Atlantic Recording Corporation aka Atlantic Records.

    So whatever, buy the domain and develop it into something that doesn't directly relate to the band right? So what really grinds my gears here (lol)...the whole sales pitch by the seller is of course, related to the band. "Ohh all those searches and high cpc. this is a real money maker".

    If you do a search for the band on GKW planner, of course all the searches w/ any meaningful cpc, are of course directly related to all that memorabilia that is trademarked. "Low competition".... no shit.

    Direct quotes pulled..."Smart investors (Domain Investors,Website Developers) will see the value in this domain." "If the new owner is smart, this domain will never be offered for sale again." Umm... no, you have to be an idiot to pay 2k or any amount for this.

    And then what really puts the icing on the cake, " I am keen to sell the domain as soon as possible to please message me." Oh really?????

    "skrillex is one of my favourite music band(s)"...bahahahahaha.

    hahahaha, right? that listing is chalked full of issues. I suppose it wouldn't be the first though... I had actually done a little write up on this seller awhile ago, for his listing off greeting*(info). I'm about to edit that up a bit. "My condolences to the seller..." lol. BS

    This is the kind of bullshit that makes me hate the domaining industry as a whole, there should be a lengthy approval process before you could even buy a domain name, it would wade out a lot of this bullshit.

    Yeah, your definitely right about that. This is pretty much a clear example of someone who is knowledgeable enough about domaining to know what they're pushing is absolute crap. So if you don't know enough, you see a seller w/ nearly 100k in transactions and assume whatever they're selling is premium. Now what's interesting about this listing, is the 2k and going price tag. I guess in the ideal world, I would think that someone who is willing to pay that amount would know exactly what they are buying. But no, there's some "grandfathered prestige" to having 100k in sales i suppose.

    With all that said, check out the bidding history on it.Cause that doesn't look fishy....
