What’s your conversion rate?

I’m sure it has been discussed before, but I couldn’t locate any relevant threads..

What conversion rate is typical for a CB advertising page? I understand that a range can be huge and it depends on a lot of factors, but still.. I want to make an attempt to analyze the typical numbers. Best of all if you can give me a link to your site and tell me what’s a percentage of visitors who click on the CB link and what’s “hops per order” in your CB analysis table. Any anecdotes are fine, all info will be appreciated.

I’ve started a campaign couple of days ago. I have about 3.5k visitors to my page, 800 hops, but just 1 kill  (sorry, sale). The page is moviestreet.blogspot.com.

That will vary very much on the source and destination of traffic.
For most PPC campaigns it should be under a 100.

In your case I think that 800 is about right. I don't think that people who can read blogs would be inclined to buy video download products sold on ClickBank

    thanks karabas.
yah.. thought it would be a free lunch..
u're right about blogs.. i just tried it out as a test. though it's not much different from a regular site cause i buy traffic at AdWords, trying to make it as targeted as possible.

btw, your CB-analytics site looks cool, got it bookmarked

If you do target your campaigns you should expect at least 50 hops per sale.

I've seen it even go as far as under 10 clicks equal a sale for really targeted campaigns which you can easily do in the market you're in :)

thanks! hope u b right.. i very much hope for returning visitors. i personally would usually try to not get into an impulse purchase, so i would shop around occasionally for a few days before i buy somthing.

an interesting thing is to see how many visitors come with a coocie already present (and someone eslses id# in it)

well, 240 hops would cost me ~$70.. and i earn ~$25 on a sale. hm.. doesn't impress me much. looks like this only works if i manage to grow organic traffic.. like 6 months down the road..

Nothing personal, Exilus, just thinking aloud. thanks for your input

Overall last 2 weeks, all organic:

    1,991 hops - 19 sales - 104.789 hops per order

    Best Item:

    990 hops - 15 sales - 66 hops per order

    Worst Item:

    459 hops - 1 sale - 459 hops per order.

So have a guess which item I just took off my ad rotation! ;)

I dont use PPC to drive traffic.....most my advertising cost me bout 100$ per month and brings me 180 hop daily. I get 16 to 34$ per sale. Do the math.... :)

thanks guys. i'm still way lower than all of you, below 300 hops/sale and below the break even again.

concentrating on growing organic traffic and re-thinking the niche

If you are sending traffic from anything other than PPC, I rarely look or care about conversions because it's all free traffic anyway.

My conversions differ greatly, ppc is around 1/50, but others like facebook are more like 1/300. So asking what an overall conversion rate is a hard question to answer properly.
