I’ve been reviewing the latest cPanel & WHM updates for 2025, and there are a few changes that hosting providers should definitely be aware of:

    1) cPanel ELevate is now more stable for in-place OS upgrades (like CloudLinux 8 → 9 or AlmaLinux 8 → 9). Being able to upgrade the server OS without wiping accounts or doing full migrations is a huge improvement for uptime and long-term maintenance.

    2) EasyApache 4 updates now include the newest PHP versions (8.3 and 8.4), updated Apache, and improvements for performance and security. PHP 8.4 benchmarks look noticeably faster on high-load servers.

    3) cPanel’s roadmap for 2025 shows better support for modern Linux distros, especially AlmaLinux and Ubuntu. This gives hosting providers more flexibility instead of being locked to a single OS family.

    4) Under-the-hood improvements in email delivery, spam protection, and Dovecot updates. Some hosts are reporting better inbox placement after enabling the new configurations.

    5) For resellers and shared hosting customers, these changes mean fewer migrations, fewer downtimes, and smoother upgrading without breaking existing sites.

I’m curious if anyone here has already tested the new cPanel ELevate upgrade process.
How smooth was it? Any issues with PHP versions, mail configs, or custom scripts?
