Hi I know this is kind of a stupid question, but I am totally new to video marketing, And I am wanting to make videos basically showing my computer screen as you see in alot of the IM training videos? I would appreciate any help with this, I would like free options but am willing to buy as long as it is a quality program that will be very user friendly I just can't seem to do video well at all. I currently just use a program to turn my articles to videos and would like to get in some better quality videos for better results.
    Thanks
    Zac

I use Camtasia studio and personally think it's the best around however it is $299 - you can download a free trial here http://www.techsmith.com/camtasia.asp

Techsmith who created camtasia also have a free program called jing - jing is a bit too limited for me but it's worth a look and might do the job you want. find it at http://www.jingproject.com/

There is also a free screen capture called Camstudio which is worth a look find it at http://camstudio.org/

As I mention before though Camtasia is what I use and it's the best about in my opinion.

    Hope this helps
    Alex

Camtasia is the best for Windows.
Screenflow is the best for Mac.

I personally use FRAPS, but usually only to capture video games I play on my PC. I'm sure it would function great as a regular screen capturer as well because you can change the FPS (frames per second) :)

Beside camtasia, you would need a video wizard that would allow you to host your own video on your website. Pm me for more detail
