WHA-HOO Just got my forums listed in DMOZ!!!

    Seems it's been listed for some time as it also appears in the Google directory (which hasn't been updated for awhile), if it were a recent inclusion it would show there yet.

    Any benefit from the listing should already be evident, okay maybe not as the last 2 PR updates did not export new toolbar PR for a number of sites (index pages) that already displayed PR. ;)

    I just noticed it because of visitor from the DMOZ site to my site.
    I didn't know anything about the google directory...
    Anyways, thanks for the congrats!
    Just need to get some more visitors now!

    Sorry to burst your bubble, but if a DMOZ listing makes a noticeable contribution to your referrer logs, you still have a lot of work to do, and the DMOZ listing won't help you. You won't get more traffic from the Google directory than from DMOZ itself.

    Other have said it before; it's just a link, nothing but a link, especially since Google downgraded the myriad DMOZ clones.

    Better you make your way as a stable Wiki link. More traffic, and Wiki pages rank better than the corresponding DMOZ categories.
