Western Union?

Im fixing to buy a website, and the guy wants a western union transfer, if i send him money and he scams me, is there anything i can do?

 

not really much you can do...except report it...most people that scam don't use their real name/address..they use fake id...it won't help you get your money back...don't trust anyone that says they only accept wu/mg

 

you have nothing to do after sending the money , try to let him accept another payment solution .

 

Never, Ever, NEVER do an online transaction using Western Union as a payment option. It is the preferred method of payment for scammers all over the world.

Western Union themselves even warn against this, as well as sites like Ebay, and other online auction or classified sites.
If the guy has a site to sell, it means he is at least a little versed about doing business on the web, and knows better than to suggest this as an option.

If he cannot comply with something that offers a little protection, like Pay Pal, or Escrow...DO NOT DO THE DEAL !

 

You can use an escrow service, it is safer for both parties when it comes to domain buying/selling.

Like it said previously, you can't recover your funds if seller scam you. This is why many frauders use wu to rip off. Using escrow service may be good alternative but problem is cost. What is value of transaction?

Use Escrow, and besides with Western Union, he cant use fake details, as u hav to show western union ur ID card with all details to send/recieve money. For recieving u even need to know the details of the sender...

That's bull !
A scammer has fake I.D.'s, or uses someone else's. You can never track him down. He doesn't even have to be in the city that he gives to you to pick it up, just know what city it was sent to.
You won't even know if that is his real name.

You have absolutely no protection.
Western Union is not a reliable payment system for web transactions.
Do Not Use It !

 

the only thing that you can do right now is to report that person where he lives, try to search that person country in google, find a police or nbi number in his/her country and then make an article about this person put his name on the net so that everyone will be aware.

 

if you buy some virtual product ,I suggest you to look at a place which itrader look like DP is allowed,this will make your guarentee of purchased more granted
