    i suggest you to have a look on namecheap.com as they post offer frequently. and i had got one for 1$ . com domain from them.

    Here are a few places to go for cheap dot com/net domains....

    domain dotcom
    name dotcom
    namecheap dotcom
    godaddy dotcom
    yahoo domains
    register dotcom

    The only issue with the cheap registration is that in the 2nd year you have to pay upwards of $12 for the renewals.
