Might be a stupid question, but I am looking all over for a place to download powerpoint, because I do not currently have it on my computer. and my google searches aren't helping.

No trials im affraid, you must purchase it However you CAN get an equivalent (which will read/write in the same format) at http://openoffice.org (called Impress i think... its part of the free office suite they offer ) Enjoy!
