Up for sale (due to health issues) is my long established (since 2005) Wordpress medical news site: BreakThroughDigest.com. The site is currently page rank 4 and has shuffled back between page rank 4 and 5. I have sold text link ads via Linkworth since the beginning at an average of a little over a $100 a month. I also have brokers purchase links on the side for clients at $300 per year. It would be easy to sell more links on the site, I just have chosen over the years not to post ads on forums like this one to sell links. I run this site very passively and all the posts come from University and institution press releases on advancements in medical science. The site ranks very high for things that starts with breakthrough like 'breakthrough medical news' or ends in digest like 'medical news digest'. Great site for passive income with 30 minutes or less a day posting, or with its profile and well written articles you could really bring in traffic. I am not wavering on price which I think is very reasonable, but if it is too rich for your taste, please respect that I am not giving this site away. I have a printout of LinkWorth income attached with income per month on right side.

How is the content grabbed for the site?

Is it manually updated or do you have an auto grab feature?

    Thank you for your time.

Content as stated comes from University and institution press releases on advancements in medical science so there are other sites that publish these too. One of the big differences is my site has been around since 2003. I have an archive for my many categories that offer the chance for viewers to read through many of the breakthroughs for a particular disease that have occurred through the years. If you want to add value to the posts, the easy way is to add a quick summary at the beginning to say why the news is important.

"I have an auto grab feature that brings in perspective posts."

How does the said auto grabbed content then added to the correct categories etc?
    Thank you for your time.

I would be happy to receive a PM re this project as I do have a client who would be interested in this.

    Thank you for your time.

Thanks for your interest. As I mentioned, after the "auto grab" I only select some of the posts to publish and for those I choose the category manually.

"for those I choose the category manually"

I did a similar thing for a client back in 1996 for medicalsearchengine.com, which was the very first focused searchengine on the web.

(My client still owns the domain but the site was taken offline years ago for various personal and corporate reasons)

We had 18 library science folks based in our office in LA, Beverly Hills actually :) who were working full time to add the content grabbed by our bots into the various categories, sub categories and sub sub categories!

So the cost for categorizing the content was very expensive!

Has there been any improvement in the content categorizing process/script which would cost me less to be able to create a new site such as the Medicalsearchengine.com ?

Granted I know my categories well, but it takes me 30 seconds per post to check off the appropriate category. If you are looking for automation for your site, you might use Tags instead of Categories. Tags can be automatically assigned based on keywords found in the post.
