They suspect fraud because you paid with PayPal and appear to be in Pakistan - a non-PayPal country.
They should give you a refund if you want it.

I would not be too worried about the payment or paying in advance for a term longer than 1-year with major hosting companies. Yes, there are risks but these are minimal. Smaller hosting firms may try to hold you hostage or may think they can provide you substandard service since your pre-paid but it should not make a difference to the major ones.

In the end, the reason you receive substandard service is because you are with a substandard company. When you make price the main factor in your decision when choosing a hosting company, there is not much you can ask for. To top it all, when a company accepts pre-payments for more than a year, and even offers further discounts, you can imagine how much the service is oversold and how low the quality of service provided gets.

Thats normal. We ask for that too. They have to for fraud verification.

Drivers license, proof of address a lot of things to verify it's not a fraud order.

HostMonster is horrible. Immature employees. I won't bother typing about how crappy their service was. Monthly uptime (average) was under 90% -- going down 30 - 60 minutes every week or so. Horrible!

i am thinking to stick with my old host i.e HostGator :p
never had any issues with them... i used their hosting like wild but they never blocked me.
also their speed is pretty fine.

    Sorry to disagree guys

I have used hostmonster for around two years now and have not had ONE problem. Have never had oto open a ticket or call them or anything. Hopefully knock on wood this continues. Still I am sorry to hear about OPS bad experioence as I have had bad customer serivce from other companies so I know what thats like but hostmonster are very good for me personally
