I'm very grateful for this thread as it's just what I needed to whet my appetite with this kind of biz, thanks! I'm going to be learning on the job so to speak and so I'm looking forward to delving into many more helpful threads and hopefully in the future I can make a worthwhile contribution.

I've just, after seeing an ad on Facebook, signed up to 'dataentrymadeeasy'...it's a little more complexed that I at first anticipated:confused: but I'm ready for the challenge ahead; this coming from a techno-phobe! Any feedback on the datamadeentry??

My son has just been diagnosed with cancer these last couple of months and so I'm sitting at home a lot and at the hospital. I'm currently taking a break from my counselling business although it's ticking over somewhere in the background, I thought the work from home opportunity might work, although I'm not altogether convinced yet...not one to give up I'll plod on..

Look forward to being in virtual touch with you all soon:D

I'm in the UK..hoping that's not going to be a disadvantage..I'm trying to see the $ signs as £ etc...:p

    1) Because it gives you a backlink. Basically, search engines figure that if you have links to your site it must be good. The more links the better it is, the less links the worse it is. Not sure of the value of Directory Links though anymore...

    2) No idea, its like any blog as far as I know.

And for general information, I'm not a mod :D

It's always nice when a forum has its rules and guidelines very clearly posted for the newbies! (And the oldies!)

rochow, thanks for such a clear and detailed intro to this forum!

Reading this is really helpful. I am quite new to DP, or at least when it comes to posting regularly, and in the last two weeks I have recieved three infractions. They were totally honest mistakes and I didn't consider what I was doing "bumping" as I had seen other people do the same things--but I guess I can't follow the examples of others without getting myself into trouble--should have known better! This thread gave me a bit more insight, hopefully this will allow me to avoid any further infractions. :) I think I am going to re-read it often to help keep me out of trouble!!

My name is David Barrett and i started online in 2003 with auction sites and made fair income, but was interested in building a list a subscribers rather than waiting for them to show up. I have concentrated my efforts into building these lists while not spending large amounts to get them started. I host some of these opportunities at http://homebizwerks.info & http://homebizwerks.ws. Both are free to join and following the steps provided, a steady income can be achieved.
