    Actually, the way he became a mod was more something like this (having lunch with him and some others at SES in Chicago)...

    Dave: I want to be a mod at DP.
    Me: Seriously? You have no idea what you are getting in to if you really want to.
    Dave: Yeah...
    Me: Would you rather be a mod of a single section so it's not too much work?
    Dave: Sure, what section?
    Me: How about the English section? (he's British)
    Dave: You have an English section??!?!??
    Me: Yeah, the whole thing is in English.
    Dave: Fuck off.

    heh... so he picked up the Buy/Sell/Trade -> Sites section so he's not overwhelmed. :)
