    Hi Friends ,
just wanted to share some weird story.
I had a domain with godaddy.com. and it was due to expire in few months but now i renewed that domain name. But to i got a letter from www.domainrenewalgroup.com and its says that i should renew and transfer that domain name to the Domain Renewal Group.
I know its easy to get address from who is type of site but its really strange to get such mail.
The letter says their office is in Melbourne,Australia but their logo look like US national flag.
I am in New Zealand but on that letter address field was showing its Australia. I could not even understand how its actually reached to my home address. Another thing is on the envelop it stamped by NZ post dept.. and says US postage paid..

    ANy else experienced same thing..

its just a scam to take domain transfer and later impose hefty fee for renewal or transfer out

I get letters like these from the Domain Registry of America all the time. Usually right after I sell a domain as well. They're just trying to encourage you to transfer your domain to them and keep it there. Overall It's not a bad marketing scheme, but when you get 10-20 letters a month it seems a bit like spam :)

yeah that a good marketing practice but how can they expect getting $45 for each domain per year..where godaddy and other domain providers will charge you only $8 per year..
