Hello there, So a few days ago, I put a new ad on my site and created a new channel for it, and was expecting that ad to have high CTR. But since I put that ad there, the channel linked to it has brought 0 (zero) clicks and 0 (zero) dollars. What is interesting is that even though it is zero clicks and zero dollars, the channel information is shown in the overview when i log on to my adsense account. Normally, as you know, only channels that brought you some revenue are shown in the overview. So this case is quite weird; as if i got revenue from that channel, it is shown in the "overview" of the top channels, but there is zero clicks, zero dollars, and zero ECPM. Why do you guys think this is the case? Please help if you have any idea. Maybe I shuold remove that channel?
First, how do you know that is going to be a high CTR? I will recommend you to remove the channels and see what results you are getting, the question that I have is, how is your traffic, are you getting the same ? or your traffic has just decreased? Thanks
Do you have all channels with 0 clicks? do they list too? or have any other channels with some clicks list first then this zero one?
I think if the channel shows also 'Zero impressions' per that channel then it shouldn't show, but you didn't mention impressions. I recon if impressions are counted such channel is recorded in my account wether or not there was click/earning.
Yes, exactly... some clicks list first, and then this zero one suddenly... I am kinda nervous, coz I did its placement really well in comparison to other ads, but other ads keep getting clicks but this small ad doesn't get any. Or it gets but I am not credited for some reason?? Of course, the best way to test this would be to click it by myself, which is against TOS and is stealing; so I would never do that. So until someone actually clicks it, I will be wondering what is going on. If, however, it seems that noone clicks it, then there must be a problem somewhere, maybe the clicks on that channel are not counted somehow?
Oh OK. Maybe then, overview shows all those channels that get clicks and also if space remains, it shows the ones with no clicks too? Then, it makes sense. Coz it always appears at the bottom of my channels page, and I dont normally remember having a zero there, cos sometimes even zero url channels do not appear even though they do get impressions.
Giraph and GC007, thanks a lot for the replies!! Giraph, that's good news.. For some reason i remember not seeing the 0 click channels in the overview, so maybe it is not a new thing. GC007, actually my traffic keeps increasing. And yeah, I dont know if it would be high CRT, but I guessed cince placement, I thought, was great. Maybe it is just that I was wrong? But then why are those 0 clicks appearing, maybe they already appear, and normal... hmmmm, lets see... THANKS A LOT FOR ALL THE COMMENTS GUYS!!
