I have a client who is interested in a party promotion site. Ideally Client would like to have sign-up features where monthly or yearly fee would be charged to signup all the club owners who will be posting events on the website weekly. Then they'll have unique login/password to login to the site and post up one liner entry (140 characters or such kind of like twitter) to post their events. So it is easier for people with iphones,blackberrys to quickly login and see all the events. As client is describing the site, it sounds very much like craigslist. Are there pre-defined CL like templates that are out there already that I can use? Users can sort by different days to see what events are happening by calander. What's best platform to use for site like this? Can this be done in Wordpress? Can this be done on NING sites (for users who are familier with NING)? Should I even think about going Joomla route? How much a site like this would cost to develop? if anyone has any experience in something like this, please feel free to pm.
