Weird problem with DigitalPoint counter tool...HELP!

I've been using this counter code for over a year with no issues at all. However, all of a sudden, the counter doesn't seem to be working correctly. It tells me one thing at home, another at work, and yet another number on a different computer. It doesn't seem logical at all considering it is code! Can anyone offer any insight to this problem and how I can fix it? Thank you.

Are you running norton or anything that would be blocking your referring URL?

I am not running anything that would block it. It worked fine up until a couple of months ago. I've checked it on about 5 different computers in all different locations and the counter has something different on each PC. I just don't get how that could happen.

What's the URL where you have the counter running?

Seems to be working for me... I see a count of 1,362 there. Is that about what you would expect it to be?

That sound fairly accurate. But, I think you are missing what the problem is. I'll have that accurate number here at home...however, if I were to look at the page at work tomorrow or have my client look at it at his home, the number reads over 300,000! We've checked different locations/different systems and the number does not stay where it should. Weird. Anyway, if I could just get the code to create a counter from scratch, I wouldn't have this problem I am sure.
