Weird 'non-adsense' looking ads showing up?!?

    Hey everyone,

This has been puzzling me for a couple of days, and so I thought I'd run it past you folks to see if it's a known issue.

I'm trying to incorporate a couple of the 'large rectangle' ads in a new business directory I am setting up.

I have generated the code, and placed it but the ads look completely different to what they should do!

I've regenerated the code, and even used code that I know works on another of my sites to try and resolve the issue, but they still show up wrong..

For an example, check out: http://www.basedinbristol.com/Food-and-drink/

The problem should be obvious :(

If you check the code, you'll see the two offending ads ought to be large rectangles with black background/border, gray text, white URL and a red link!

    Any ideas?!

    yawn......

I think I do know what your talking about, however. Re-generate the ads and make sure no codes are conflicting with your AdSense javascript code.

Your code for the bottom 2 ads are all messed up.

You need to go in and redo the code in your Adsense Panel.

    modified code,
look at the page code and u will see how first (normal) ad code is different from next two, the whole code is on one line, that must be something your cms did.

Yep--conflicting codes. Regenerate and re-add. Probably in a seperate div tag with no styles associated with it just in case.

    Thanks everyone that worked!

If anyone else has the problem using the PHPDirectory templates, the fix I used was to put the ads in to a separate file and include this in the template...

isnt your ad against the TOS? visitors can be deceived by the color of your ad and links
