I have a wordpress blog, which google crawled then indexed, 2 days later google dropped alot of the pages, and left a few indexed, but then a day later it backdated the index. The site isnt spammy in any way, no blackhat stuff at all. google still continues to crawl etc.. the only problem i thought it might be are the redirects in .htaccess to my affiliate links. Redirect /sfsdf http://example.com
Well, how do i know if ive been marked down etc... i thought redirects were okay its not like im cloaking anything. its just to tidy up the links instead of a huge affiliate links i cant remeber, i can easy use the redirect tag if typing the url
google has been very odd lately. i think they changed their algorythms for indexing, because it's not just you. i have seen many, including some of my own jumping all over the place. one of my smaller scripted sites got hammered by them really hard too. and that's even though my robots blocks crawling by them. cpu load exceeded daily usage for about 5 days straight from google's ip address and my host was mad as heck.
