when I search google at home for my "modded mustangs" I get the #3 result out of 58,000.... but at my office it's #51 out of 56,000 ??? Been like this every time I check for the last week or so. Using the keyword position tracker it always shows me at #3. Whats the deal? Google returning different results for different IP's or something?
http://www.mcdar.net/q-check/datatool.asp Use it to check for : modded mustangs , on all DC's. Your SERP difference is because at home, and at work, you are using different DC's.
So what's the difference between the datacenters? Which one does google use? Does it depend on the client IP?
Google does Geo-location too , yes. Depending on your proximity to each of his DC IPs, you will be served with that relevant domain, and IP. Or sometimes, from the same location, you can be served with different IP's. It depends. I am really not an expert on Google DC's, but this is what i know.
oh...my...god. All my work to get my site to the top of my own friggen name, and guess who's the #1 search for "modded mustangs"? F'n this post ROFL
