I get that error all the time, usually if I am just harvesting site urls manually and click "next page" too often
For the sake of argument I would run a full adware\spyware scanner on your computer, everytime you go to search something via Google the spyware\adware may be trying to do something as well.

I got that error several times in a row, then they would dissapear and re-appear a few months later. Usually happens when: -I'm using Google Translator for >10 times in a day -I'm using something that accesses Google servers several times (e.g. digpagerank.com, I think...)
