weird blog commenting problem

Hey here's a weird blog commenting problem you might know the answer to.
It seems like 9 out of 10 times when I post a comment in a blog and press the submit button, it immediately just goes to a blank page. If I go back and refresh, my comment isn't there. The page url it usually goes to is usually something like:

    http://www.exampleblog.com/wp-comments-post.php

When I view the page source, it's also blank. Tried it on firefox and ie and same result.
There are always comments from other people so I know that it worked for them, so why doesn't it work for me?
    Any ideas?

    adva<Thanks>nce

I had a similar problem after I had been using comment kahuna, it appeared that my IP had been banned for spamming (and I hadn't!) Try changing your IP address on your computer and try again, if it posts you know your IP address has been banned ;)

Thanks. I have not doubt that spam is a problem with blog comments. On the other hand, all of my blog comments were directly related to the subject and talked about my direct experience with the topic so I would be a little surprised if it was flagged as spam. I was honestly trying to add something to the conversation.
So, let's say my blog post is flagged as spam - would that result in the big blank page appearing? I would have thought I would at least get a message saying "knock it off, spammer" or something like that.

One a single blog or multiple blogs? Never post more than 2 or 3 times on a blog in a day unless you're having a conversation with someone. Anyone who tries to blow up my blogs with comments (manual or not) or posts links to porn sites will get their IP blocked immediately.

Yes it happens as the websites detect that there is spam, however, try to type manually username and password, email id as well, so that it would be included.

If you do copy paste then it may not be accepted depending on the websites.

Are you using keyword in name section?

It is common to get blank page if you use keyword in name section because not all the bloggers will approve your comment.

If one blogger decide to mark your comment as spam, then all the blogs that installed spam filter (Akismet), will lead you to blank page.

Your comment goes through but it is not fall "Under Moderation" list, but it goes into "Spam" list.

Usually, most bloggers doesn't bother spam comments and it gets deleted after 30 days automatically.

If you want to avoid getting blank page, try to use common names instead of keyword in name section when you commenting.

Also, if you wish to get your site removed from spam list, there is only one way:- Contact Akismet and ask them to remove your site from their spam list at http://akismet.com/contact/

Once your site is removed from spam list, try not to post keyword in name comments in blogs that doesn't allow keywords.

Use the keyword in name on blogs that allows keywordluv.

    Wish you all the best!

I am kind of regular blog commenter and had the same issue while posting commenting but its not a worrying part, some websites take a bit time to post comment even if you refresh the pages your post wont be appeared in short while but later it gets posted if the they allow comments on their sites..
