I started a blog about a few months ago, with a total of more than 20 posts and just leave it as I do not have time to handle. Today I found out it has become PR 3 and those web sites which I tried so hard to grow is still at PR 0. Google is really playing a fool with us webmasters Anyone has similar experience?
My personal blog that I never touched made it to PR4...soon after I started writing it went to 0. Was really weird
Anyway to know what cause the PR to go up or down? I am quite curious over this. Seemed that the less effort we put in the better is the PR
Yeah, I had a blog that went to PR3 even though I haven't posted in over 3 months. Unfortunately, I forgot the account password so I can't link it to my current blog. ;(
I nearly forgot that too, I tested more than 20 combinations before I got it right, it was with wordpress so I cant do any reset, once I found it was PR3, I tried all combinations to get into it. Thank goodness I got it
It would be quite good surprise for me to see one of my sleeping domains has got some PR value But my question is, did you check the PR value of that domain for the first time since last PR updates?
The problem with me is that when I first started using blogger, I accidentally created 2 accounts, one with a google account (czechmatester@gmail.com) and one with a fictional yahoo acount (czechmatester@yahoo.com). The Yahoo account is the one with the blog on it, but I can't access it because I used the Old Blogger set-up because the yahoo account isn't a Google account. Now, when I try to use Blogger's "legacy claim", I can't, because when I use the acount name (czechmatester) it claims it is a fictional account because it's the name of my Google account. And on top of that, I can't use the "forgotten username/password" function because I used a fictitious Yahoo e-mail account.
yeah it happened to me few times as well.. no work, jumped to PR 3. they sometimes give PR boost is either the main domain of some domain connected to it has a boost as well. free wp blog? is it on subdomain? if you put domain for it, and still have subdomain from provider, it'll boost as well if provider's pr jump.
Those free wordpress subdomain as in xxx.wordpress.com Surprise me as I thought generally free subdomains have a lesser chance of getting good PR
maybe that have betetr contents in the eyes of SE and figure it has more of "wordpress" feel, or maybe you were getting links or visitors more on that site. are al blogs smae age? similar contents?
i have the same situation..one of my domains i bought in APRIL 2007, is now a PR2! i did nothing at all..LOL
