My site until recently had a weight of over 65K which has now dropped down below 20K. It is an online auction site which has a large number of pages, each page displaying 5 co-op links. Can you give me a clue as to why this is happening? I noticed another thread were someones weighting was reduced and admin reset it as the validator only detected 1 link per page. 65k recently? Are you sure that it wasn't a while ago. Weight was reduced for all sites when Shawn removed the cap. Your weight looks about right for a PR5 site with the number of pages that you have indexed in google.
Yeah, you look ok for your PR5 and pages indexed. Shawn had changed the algo for weight calculation and removed the cap awhile ago. All of our weights have dropped, so we're all pretty much in line with one another.
