Weight Increases early?

Discussion in 'Co-op Advertising Network' started by thebassman, Sep 20, 2004.

I've just signed up for the network, and I've read through the forum (been a member here for a while) - just wondering if I can expect my weight to increase by quite a bit early on based on traffic? I was assigned a relatively low (IMO) initial weight, and think the number of page views, once recorded, will bump up my weight?

Number of page views are not recorded therefore they do not increase your weight.

base weight is primarily a factor of PR and number of google indexed pages. Nothing to do with traffic or pageviews.

Oh... hmmm... maybe mine isn't that low then... I've got 2000+ indexed pages, and a PR6 on my homepage, but my weight seems quite low. I signed up for the coop right when it came out, but didn't activate until today... might that be the reason it seems low?

the biggest factor is the number of pages on your site

why are you assuming what you were assigned is low? what is it, if you don't mind sharing?

It's just under 7000. With the weight being over 1M, and there are only 300+ sites from what I've read in other threads, I just assumed it would be higher... but I guess not

Well if you do the math (total weight, divided by of number of live sites), you have an above average weight.

Yeah, I guess that's true, actually... LOL. It just _seems_ low... hehe. like .7%, but I guess overall, that's not too bad... hehe. It looks great so far, Shawn. :D I hope to see some jumps in the SERPs like other people have indicated. Any tips on setting up ads?

If PR is a factor and PR hasn't been been updated then wouldn't base weights be off somehow?
