Weight, Consolidation Questions

My base weight is 489. I have nothing to relate that number to.

    1. How many times will my ad with that weight, be shown across the network on any given day?

    2. As my ad is shown across the network and my links increase, as everyone says it will, my link popularity and, perhaps, my pagerank will increase. Won't those two things increase my base weight over time?

    3. What does consolidation mean?

    Thanks!

Coop will probably NOT result in increased PR. Search for some of the older threads on the subject.

All things being equal, you will get usually as much as you give.

Consolidation is used when you have multiple sites in the network and you want to send all the weight to one account for easy management.

How do I "give" more? I have a finite number of pages and the ad network displays a finite number of ads.

Can anyone speculate as to how often my ad will appear on any given day?

I don't know how many backlinks/ads you will get with a weight of 489. I would guess at least the number of google indexed pages * the number of ads you are showing on each page.

You can get more weight by increasing the content or pages of your site, increasing your PR or increasing the number of ads shown on each page (up to 5).

5 ads times 9 pages would be 45 page views per day?

The coop does not work by pageviews. You would get at least 45 ads showing through the network.

But honestly I am not sure. It may be a little less or more than that.

Larger sites will tend to get more ads rotated in the network. It's a tit-for-tat system. You give what you get.

If you can't make more pages, try referring more people. If you can't do that, think about setting up a forum. Most of the big guns on the network have large forums with thousands of threads. I've reached my cap in the network for my PR with my forum.

No, you don't know pageviews because you don't know the traffic on the other person's site.

The ads might be on one of Shawn's multimillion views sites, or one of someone else's coop-purpose built brand new sites, not intended fro traffic but only to be indexed for the coop benefit.

5 ads times 9 pages is 45 links you give to the rest of the users. In normal circumstances, you can expect around 45 links back to the links you specify in your ad.

You have good pagerank. What you lack is content!

Start building new content - you will benefit from traffic to your new content and from additional weight in the network. I know it is hard work to build good content but there is no other way if you are to build a long-lasting internet presence.

I'm also sort of lost on the weight issue.
My website has nearly 38,000 pages in Google and a PR of 5 for the main page, yet I only have a base weight of 8,820. From what I had understood Google takes the number of pages you have indexed in Google * the number of ads you have.
So I have 37,800 pages indexed in Google and 5 ads per page, shouldn't I receive a base weight of 189000? And I'm not even including the PR factor which is "suppose" to have some sort of affect from what I have understood.
Can anyone shed some light on this matter for me?
