hi, i have a few questions regarding seo on my websites. i want to climb the results but there are at least 2 or 3 websites ranking above me (amongst others) which look partly bogus to me. i call them phantom sites: less pages, little content, domain younger than mine and just basic basic no effort design. still they rank higher so i figured i might be doing something wrong. i would like to describe certain aspects of my sites that i think might be hurting my rankings, and then let you decide if it's really an issue or that important. these questions are based on prior research but where i've been unable to find a specific or definite answer. note: all sites are static html sites. Duplicate content: i have a general overview page which is basically 80% of the front page (index). all the other pages are normal. External linking: there are links to my other websites on every page, always the page under a "other sites" heading. over 10 h2 tags on the index- and general overview page as titles. long image titles 35-45 characters: image title, always followed by the same website related keywords. what i've done recently and wonder if it will have any effect: 301 redirect for non-www to www wondering what you guys think, thanks.
