I swear to God that every time Google shuts down the Adsense site for updates, I lose money. Am I nuts? Maybe so, but I'm telling you it's the truth. Like today for instance. Adsense was shut down until around 5:00 PM Pacific. It's now 11:40 PM pacific, so all of the numbers should be updated. Right? Well I'm staring at a screen that is telling me that 3 sites have a ctr below 1%. Now when do I ever have any site with a ctr below 1%? Only on the Adsense update days! How about you? Any fellow Adsense conspiracy theorists out there??
I think it depends on your niche as to whether you have been affected. I also think that August has been a bad month for revenues generally due to vacations and the olympics
Well eventually they updated the figures and I did see the number of overall impressions and ctr going down but this only happens on this particular maintenance. Didn't observe for the past maintenance.
I have to agree with you, I passed from 10$ earnings every day, to 2$ yesterday. It was the only day this happened. I hate these days too. Today everything is back to normal, although August is not a good month for us...
Actually that is incorrect. Don't micro manage your account. Look at the trends after a few days. Things have a way of evening out. And yes I do believe there are plenty of maintenance periods where you are working for free.
