I just started up my blog and all week i've been getting 40-50 uniques but yesterday it went to 14 and i check last weekends traffic which was also about 15-17. Just wondering if this is usually the case?
People tend to be traveling or away from home and their computers. You might get the occasional teen/kid at home or anyone working from home, happens to be online, or whatever. Mostly it's because they aren't home/on computer.
It really depends on your niche. There is no hard and fast rule that says weekends should have more/less traffic. I know many sites that report a much higher traffic on the weekends. Think shopping/deals for this category.
Generally , people don't sit the whole day in front of the computer on weekends. may be that is the reason - Ranjith
We cant predict traffic!!may be less for week end and more for weekdays..but this may not be the case on an other week!!As a blogger or a website owner we have to provide some interesting stuff to make them atleast think about coming back!!

Well, I know for tech blogs, web traffic is the highest on the weekends - people search for these gadgets in their rec time more often
Depending on your niche, weekend traffic could me more or less, I see a big wave througout the week, goes up and down, it's quite the norm.
In my case weekend traffic slows down a little bit only, nothing dramatic, some people surf more the weekend than others
Weekends seem slower as do public holidays when the weather is good - everyone goes to the beach rather than using the net!
My blog engage traffic drops about 300 hits a day on the weekends unless I'm active and pushing traffic using social media marketing. I'm getting 1500 during the week and 1200 on weekends and sometimes 1100 on Sundays.
Seems like you have a blog related to routine stuff. If there is something related to what people do on weekends than you might get the other way around.
