Have any of you guys used webthosting? Its a complete headache, its been a week I've been asking for a refund and asking to cancel my account, and they still haven't done it, they keep avoiding it! It took them around 2 weeks to get my domain even activated. Support and service is VERY poor, Communication is VERY VERY poor! When I asked for a refund they asked what can we do to help (totally acceptable) but i tell them no I jsut want a refund, no one replies to that ticket ever again. I asked for a refund again they asked what is the reason for cancellation, (which is totally acceptable but getting abit frustrating that they cant even answer me straight) but i answer why, but they do not reply back to that ticket ever again. Seems to me they are just delaying it untill after the "30 day money back no questions asked". And when the recent time i asked for a refund, on the ticket, the guy just replies, your account is now activated and totally ignored what I has said. Then now my account has been activated, I have tried to log into the Cpanel, neither does my password or the assigned password given to me even works! What can I do?
post this on webhostingtalk.com . a lot of the hosts frequent that forum and you would get better suggestions. I don't think there is much you can do though other than moving on to a new host. Consider hostgator (look for their coupon I think it's 1 cent for the first month with a coupon). Even if you consider some other host try to go for a US host unless there is some specific reason why you want to host in Netherland.
I'm afraid a hosts promises are only as good as their actions and in this case it would appear your host is not honouring any of its commitments it makes on its website. For that we are very sorry because this type of conduct reflects poorly on the industry. I also have to agree that there is little you can do about it, other than to move to another host. But may we suggest you do not just buy on price alone - sometimes just a couple of dollars more can buy you a great hosting plan with 24/7 support - with a guaranteed maximum 1 hour response. Better still why not contact any host you are considering transferring to, with some pre - sales questions and then gauge the quality and speed of their reply. This can often give a hint to the type of service you can expect as a client. At the same time you can explain the reason for swapping over and sometimes hosts will reduce a plan price for you to help you out - I know we do this if approached. Best of luck.
This is a terrible thing to hear about. I am sure if you do a little more research on some companies you might find reviews that will help you make your decision.
