Hi. I have just made a web store to try to sell about 10.000, more or less, electronic components that I got several years ago on eBay and similar pages. My economic condition is not good at the moment, because my son was in a really dangerous situation up to last spring, when I got his custody. For that reason, I've used free software with WordPress (Elementor free and a lot of free plug ins). When I installed Monster Insights and had uploaded 250 items, I realized that the webstore was receiving about 60-80 visitors a month, due to, theoretically, if the design was profesional enough, I think I could have had the first orders, but I haven't. I think the design is a little bit too simple and, instead of getting better from the index pages to the ones at where categories, items, the cart, checkout... are located, it gets worse. Any comment is welcome. https://adaptax.es
I think your site looks fine and it appears to be well-organised. I'd recommend adding an "about" page with a photo of you in front of a shelf of actual stock so that people know. you aren't a drop shipper. Talk about your passions, about why you bought all that stuff in the first place. Create a human face for the store. This is text on your policies page translated by google into English. Consider making a statement that the new or used status will be shown alongside the item when selecting in the store. I didn't see anything on pages like https://adaptax.es/product/cable-sata-a-usb-2-0-con-datos-y-alimentacion/ so you'd need to add it.
Thank you. I will I hadn't realize that some people could think I don't actually get the items near my living place. I'm sure your comment will help me to receive the firsts orders.
I used to search for such items on eBay or AliExpress. I think people who know how to fix their laptops and PC, in the first place go to AliExpress and only if they need the item urgently do they search for it on eBay. Not sure people start googling for a PC fan or cable, they or go to the nearest local shop or eBay or AliExpress. I think you better try to create your online store on eBay and from there already promote your website. Also, try to contact PC repair stores in Spain, maybe if they need a piece, they will check for it first on your site and not on AliExpress.
I have no complaints about the site itself. A small number of orders may be due to the specificity of the industry.
Thank you That's what I thought several years ago, when I was an ebayer, but the point is that the store is receiving visitors. If someone clicks into the webstore, it's most likely someone looking for an item with a part number. Anyway, I can send the inventory to ebay or aliexpres... once I have upoloaded the items, but I need to get the information safe first. I will do what Sarahk recommeds before.
