DP is good place for it Also you can get good freelance coders at ezdia. As I got from there and got some good results from them So I think you should try at eZdia if not done yet. They have a large variety of experts in different categories who will bid on your projects according to their category. Check it out at ezdia

GAF (getafreelancer) is also good, but the problem in here lies that you ultimately get what you pay for. contacting a reputable developer and designer first can eliminate headacheds down the road if something breaks or other problems arise...

We're here in the states and compete regularly with the offshore markets.. Our price may be 2-5% higher but the quality of work and the time it takes for revisions, communication issues, etc will save you time and money.

I once offshored a project that I ultimately had to bring back in house because of the long lag time, poor communication, etc... It ended up being a wash...

nope... They should build and test everything on their servers then give you the files on CD or something...

I agree a good developer should be able to create anything you are trying to accomplish without having access to your site. If there is an absolute need for them to gain access I would strongly recommend you make a secondary account for them to use that can not alter anything they need not access and immediately remove the account as soon as their job is complete.

they will show you in their server the demo and then you can watch and check it before deciding to pay off the final instalment of the agreed purchase price.

I am in RAC (rentacoder) and GAF (getafreelancer), elance, and Scriptlance.

Ive got a ton of feedback at rentacoder, i tend to go there, when i need something to do :) Which is alot lately. I like RAC over all the others as a coder because of the escrow system, the payment system, the feedback system and the arbitration

GAF is strange still to me, the buyer can still get away without paying, it has happened to me 5 times. So i tend not to look at GAF often
