Hi, Its very sad to hear that your site has pr4 and but visitor.. To get any solution you need to provide your URL targeting Keyword From where are u getting traffic only then anyone can give you solution.
I would say PR doesn't matter for traffic. What type of site it is? Is there enough searches in SE for your niche?
Good content. Google loves good content. Once you develop good content, find way to point relevant links to that content. Make sure the anchor tags for those links are relevant to the content and to the keywords you want to rank higher for in Google. For example, when I was starting out doing web design, I anchored all my signatures at the bottom of clients' pages with the business name. That was dumb because the business name is in the URL, so I was already SEOed well for a unique business name. Tags would be Web design by Company Name. What I eventually did was fix all the links by going to Web design by Company Name. That way, I was SEOing for the term "web design". This allowed Google to rank my site higher for that term. Combined with a good PageRank, this pushed me to the top of most local and regional searches for "web design". That's what you need to do. Establish your keywords. Build good content around them. Then send legitimate links in to that content using anchor tags that leverage your keywords.
Hmmm. It's good that you have page rank 4. Actually page rank doesn't determine on the basis of traffic. It's totally depends on backlinks so page rank doesn't refer that you'll get high visitor. What's your blog about? Is your topic is popular in search. If so then those visit is not enough. But if your topic is not popular yet. Then it might be ok. So my suggestion is focus on create community rather than backlinks. Go and join forum. Help people, comment on related blog etc. Thanks
Page rank doesnt affect your traffic directly To gain more traffic, you might spend some times on SERP and SMO rather than keep on doing the link building
Its a good thing that your site pr is 4 but there is no relation between pr and visitors. You backlinks is 2000 its a very good thing. Goolge like your your site and content so its provide pr but if your site keyword is not in ranking how can visitors come to your site. First you choose good keyword and than check its ranking bse visitors come from search engine.

The higher the PR the more likely your are to get noticed and ranked by Google for the key words you are targeting. But if you are targeting key words that don't get a lot of traffic, than PR will have little impact on the amount of visitors. This is a hard question to answer without knowing your URL and keyword focus.
Pr 4 does hep your seo but some time your keyword anchor text is not linked correctly so it will not helpful to rank high at all
